The last day of the event saw a completition of the single elimination round. Following on from Friday's classic Big Bay conditions, the venue provided further proof of it's position in world windsurfing circles. The Cape Doctor blew on key and the last 4 heats of the Single Elimination were competed. The 4 riders took to the waters with smaller waves than Friday, but some nice ramps and rides were provided by the dying swell. Winds grew to 22knots and the riders were really fired up. In the First Semi, Tine Slabe (SLO) took on Kevin Mevisen (NED) with Kevin moving on to the winner's final against Big Bay regular, Berndt Flessner who won through against Oisin van Gelderen (IRL.) The winds were steadily building and the Looser's Final was taken by Oisin with Kevin Mevisen taking 1st in the Winner's Final. After the single elimination was completed an Expression Session was held with the riders throwing down some insane moves and style. The top 4 moved into a final heat with Harry Voegelzang (NED) narrowly beating out Ben Proffit (GBR) into 1st.

In the ladies single elimination round, Nina Tjernberg (SWE) beat Laurie Treboux (SUI) on the Friday in some seriously big waves. The level of riding was exceptional and the venue provided incredible conditions. With mast high waves, 20-25 knots and a fantastic new building @ the Big Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, the Big Bay Classic is going to build from this inaugural event and bring back the legendary days of the Gunnstan & GTI events of the 80's and 90's.

Thanks to all the riders who took part and helped make this event happen. Without their incredible abilities and spirit, Big Bay would not be the same. And, thanks to all those who helped out, made it happen and sponsored this event.
